Part-time Customer Service Representative
Location: Spring Green
SUMMARY: Performs customer services. Responsible for the development of new business relationships and maintaining existing relationships. Answers questions on all services the financial institution provides, and recognizes selling and referral opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
1. Proactively prospect for new business.
2. Actively refers loan, trust, insurance, and brokerage services to appropriate financial institution specialists.
3. Assists supervisor in establishing objectives and plans for location.
4. Participates in sales, service and product training meetings.
5. Represents the financial institution in community affairs and civic organizations.
6. Processes deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments.
7. Sells cashier’s checks and money orders.
8. Cross sells banking products and services.
9. Assists customers with account maintenance.
10. Assists customers in the safe deposit box area to access a box.
11. Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records.
12. Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
13. Promotes and explains other financial institution services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates of deposit, safe deposit/leased boxes, and money orders.
14. Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensures the payments match balances due.
15. Generates customer receipts.
16. Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
17. Counts, checks and packages coin and currency.
18. Is responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the financial institution’s forms.
HOURS: 20 hours per week. 2-3 days during the weekday. Every other Saturday 9am-12:00pm.

CONFIDENTIALITY: Treats all information regarding the bank, its customers and employees with complete confidentiality according to all applicable federal and state regulations and generally accepted business practices.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent sales, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. This person must have a good understanding of financial products and services with above average computer and keyboard skills. Lastly, have a successful completion of in-house training program and other approved training program.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to use current off the shelf information systems for common office functions and ability to use the functional business systems as needed for this position.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in narrative, mathematical or diagram form and work with several abstract and concrete variables.
