Loan Processing Representative: Arena, Wisconsin

Performs a variety of duties in support of lenders. Interacts with other internal department personnel, and third-party providers to complete a variety of tasks associated with the origination of loans and the servicing of existing loans.  Assures tasks are completed accurately, timely and professionally to ensure prompt and professional service to internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES-

Obtains information related to the loan origination process including: ordering credit reports, appraisals, preliminary title reports, UCC searches, environmental reports, insurance information, flood certificates, Secretary of State filings and various other items.

Assists in the preparation of disbursement worksheets, loan documentation checklists and other communications necessary to properly document the credit files.

Provides assistance to loan officers including updating loan data for entry into the financial institution’s computers and assembling documentation.

Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.

Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation.

Checks documents for proper legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.

Manages escrow accounts and releases funds to customers.

Manages files relating to hazard and other insurance policies that are in direct connection with financial institution loans.

Reviews new and renewal insurance policies.

Processes private mortgage insurance premiums for payment and reviews policies for cancellation options.  Informs customers when private mortgage insurance is removed from loan contract.

 CONFIDENTIALITY: Treats all information regarding the bank, its customers and employees with complete confidentiality according to all applicable federal and state regulations and generally accepted business practices.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma. Knowledge of general banking policies/procedures. Ability to effectively work with colleagues and on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes. Effective oral and written communication skills.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization

 COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to use current off the shelf information systems for common office functions and ability to use the functional business systems as needed for this position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 REASONING: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in narrative, mathematical or diagram form and work with several abstract and concrete variables.
